The conference takes place in Frankfurt am Main in Hessen, Germany. The city is divided into two parts by the river Main. The DFF – Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum, which is in the Sachsenhausen district, is on the south side of the river, Künstlerhaus Mousonturm, which is in the Bornheim district, is on the northern side close to the city center. Both locations are well connected to the RMV public transit system.
This conference is a hybrid event. All events have a Zoom room and most events will be recorded (based on participant’s consent). The complete line-up of recordings will be available to participants after the conference. If you attend virtually, all panels, screenings, conversations and workshops will be accessible to you. To access the Zoom rooms, please visit the ConfTool platform that you registered on. Scheduled times are indicated in CET. If you attend in person, for the few panels and workshops that happen online only, we will provide livestreams for most of them at the conference venues or you can access the recordings afterwards.

Christmas Market Foods
Frankfurt’s christmas market consists of a multitude of little market stalls that sell different kinds of foods. If you like fresh bread filled with melted cheese and ham or mushrooms you should try “Handbrot”. “Kartoffelpuffer” are delicious fried potato pancakes and are most often served with applesauce or herby sour cream. “Glühwein” (mulled wine) or “heißer Apfelwein” (hot, spiced cider) will help you wash down all the fried food. To finish your culinary tour of the Christmas market you might want to try “gebrannte Mandeln”, “Lebkuchen”, or “Dresdner Christstollen” for dessert. As a digestif we suggest asking for a “Mispelchen”.
